Formally owned by Unicorn and Northern Leisure, Squires has been around forever. Transformed into a nightclub from a car park in around 1967.

Currently trading as a twin scene venue Squires and New York New York with a 1200 capacity split equally over the two rooms. Squires is the most recently refurbished out the two rooms and was completed in August 2006, New York New York was transformed from Quincy’s in July 2005 refurbishment costs for both rooms was around £1 million. New York New York is a typical disco style room with flashy dance floor and is heavily themed. Squires is designed in a more contemporary style in subtle colours and relaxed feel.
